The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Institute of Technology organized two-hours of online expert lecture session on “Digital Archiving: Preserving the Past in the Digital Age” by Mr. Ayan Chatterjee for B. Tech (VIIth) Semester Digital Humanities Minor Students on 22nd September 2026. The two-hours session aimed to provide students with invaluable insights and knowledge about digital archiving and its significance in today’s world. It introduced students to understand the concepts related to preserving historical records, cultural heritage, photographs, documents, and other materials in digital formats for future generations and application of strategies and techniques for long-term preservation.
