An Expert Talk (online mode) on Video games and storytelling was conducted on October 21, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. in room no. A108, Institute of Technology, Nirma University, for the Digital Storytelling & Narratives (Minor) course for fifth-semester students of B.tech (all Programmes). The expert talk was organized by Dr. Amandeep singh. Prof. Aaron George, an eminent academician at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, gave an expert lecture on the topic for fifth-semester students of B.tech (all Programmes), exploring critical aspects of video game history, design, storytelling, and the broader impact of games on culture and entertainment. The talk covered various topics, from the history of games to evolving storytelling and player engagement methods. The speaker provided an insightful analysis of video game critique and appreciation, covering the industry’s evolution, the complexity of modern games, and the art of storytelling in interactive media.
